## π€ What Career Is Right for Me?
One of the biggest challenges facing students today is a simple question:
**βWhat career is right for me?β**
With hundreds of CAO courses, changing job markets, and increasing pressure to make the βrightβ decision, many students feel overwhelmed.
The podcast highlights how traditional career guidance often relies on:
- Academic results
- Limited one-to-one counselling
- Generic career quizzes
π Leaving many students unsure about their future path.
## Introducing an AI-Powered Career Quiz for Ireland
John Brady explains how Bowsy is addressing this problem through a new **AI-driven career assessment platform**, designed specifically for the Irish education system.
This next-generation **career quiz**:
- Analyses each studentβs **skills, interests, and potential**
- Matches them to **real career paths in Ireland**
- Recommends:
- Relevant **CAO courses**
- Apprenticeships
- Alternative pathways
π Helping students make more informed, confident career decisions.
---
## π A Smarter Approach to CAO Assessment
Unlike traditional tools, this platform goes beyond personality tests.
The **CAO assessment**:
- Connects students directly to **courses and points ranges**
- Aligns career recommendations with **real job opportunities**
- Reflects how hiring is evolving toward **skills-based recruitment**
---
## π€ From CVs to Skills: A Shift in How Careers Begin
A key theme of the podcast is the shift away from traditional career pathways.
As discussed:
- Employers are placing more value on **skills and real-world ability**
- Remote work has expanded access to opportunities
- AI is enabling more accurate matching between people and roles
π This creates an opportunity to guide students earlier β before they make critical CAO decisions.
---
## π Built for Irish Students, Designed for the Future
The platform is designed for:
- Leaving Cert students
- Transition Year students
- Parents and guidance counsellors
It reflects a changing world where:
- Career paths are less linear
- New roles are emerging rapidly
- Students need better tools to navigate choices
---
## π The Future of Career Guidance in Ireland
The Irish Tech News interview highlights a clear shift:
> From generic career advice β to personalised, AI-driven career pathways
By combining:
- AI technology
- Real employer insights
- Deep understanding of graduate recruitment
Bowsy is helping answer the question every student asks:
